About the Authors of Suppertime Survival®

Lynn Roblin MSc.

Lynn worked for six years as a senior policy consultant at Nutrition Connections a program within the Ontario Public Health Association before retiring from dietetics. Prior to that Lynn worked as a public health nutritionist and had her own freelance nutrition consulting business. She served Dietitians of Canada, Health Canada, Ontario Ministry of Health, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food, National Institute of Nutrition, Canadian Health Network and a variety of food marketing boards and food industries. She produced many consumer and professional nutrition education resources and websites and was a regular nutrition columnist for the Toronto Star. One of her most notable projects was working with Health Canada developing Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating in 1992 and 2007. Lynn graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Human Nutrition and a Master of Science in Human Kinetics. Lynn raised a family with four children. She is always looking for ways to help her family and others adopt a healthier lifestyle and enjoy great meals.

Bev Callaghan BSc.

Bev worked as a dietitian in hospitals and the food service industry before starting up her own food consulting business.  She has worked as a media spokesperson and writer for several large food companies.  Bev is an experienced recipe developer and menu planner.  She is often asked to give nutrition talks and food demonstrations to a variety of different interest groups.  Bev graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition and completed her dietetic internship at Victoria Hospital Corporation in London, Ontario. She has a certificate in Cordon Bleu Cooking from the Beverly Burge School of Cooking in Toronto.  Bev raised a family with three daughters. She loves to cook and entertain and is always experimenting with new recipe ideas.

Suppertime Survival is the second edition of Lynn and Bev’s first national bestseller Suppertime Survival – The Complete Weekly Meal Planner (Macmillan, 1996).  Lynn and Bev are also co-authors of another bestselling cookbook with Dietitians of Canada called Great Food Fast (Robert Rose, 2000). This book has sold over 75,000 copies.
